This is a non-binding English convenience translation. The German version of these terms of participation is authoritative.
These terms of participation govern the use of the “track. with ads” platform (the “Platform”) as part of workshops, in particular at universities. The Platform is operated by Linus van Doren, Schönleinstraße 8, 10967 Berlin, Germany (see Impressum).
Access to the Platform is provided through the participating university or the workshop organiser. By registering and using the Platform, you agree to these terms of participation.
To take part in the game, you choose a player name (nickname) of your own, which is displayed to other participants on the leaderboard.
Player names must not be insulting, discriminatory, inciting hatred, glorifying violence, vulgar, or otherwise unlawful. In particular, references to unconstitutional organizations and their symbols (Section 86a of the German Criminal Code), insulting content within the meaning of Sections 185 et seq. of the German Criminal Code, and names that impersonate another real person are prohibited.
The operator reserves the right to reset or remove player names that violate these rules without prior notice. In that case, you will be asked to choose a new player name. Repeated or serious violations may result in exclusion from the Platform.
Your player name, score, and playing time are displayed to other participants of the same university account on a leaderboard. No further publication takes place.
People with management rights for your university (e.g. the workshop lead) can additionally see, among other things, your email address, your notes and your game results in order to supervise and debrief the workshop. Details can be found in the privacy policy.
For more information on the processing of personal data, please refer to the privacy policy.
Violations of these terms — in particular inadmissible player names — can be reported at any time to the workshop lead or to the operator at linus@nosedivestudio.com.
Reported content is reviewed promptly and removed or reset in the event of a violation.
The Platform is provided to participants free of charge as part of the workshops. There is no entitlement to uninterrupted availability.
The operator is liable only for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. Users are themselves responsible for content they submit (in particular player names).
The operator reserves the right to amend these terms of participation with effect for the future where necessary for operating the Platform or running the workshops. Participants will be informed of material changes.
Should individual provisions of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.
